Started by students. Built for every child.
Project STEMulate is a student-initiated volunteering programme that runs STEM enrichment for primary school students from less-fortunate families in Singapore.
Our mission
To empower underprivileged children by inculcating an interest in STEM, fostering curiosity and confidence, and guiding them in discovering their own potential, bringing about positive change to society.
With a passion for STEM and a drive to make a difference in the lives of under-served children and their families, a group of Raffles Institution students formed Project STEMulate in 2023. We tackle educational inequality in Singapore by giving primary schoolers from disadvantaged backgrounds equal learning opportunities in STEM.

Questions we get asked
What is Project STEMulate?
A student-initiated volunteering programme that carries out STEM enrichment activities for primary school students from less-fortunate families.
Who can volunteer?
Any enthusiastic youth volunteers who are passionate about STEM and eager to make a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged children and their families are welcome to join.
What kinds of activities do you run?
Hands-on workshops, interactive experiments, personal 1-to-1 sessions, learning journeys and a range of events, all designed to get children exploring STEM.
How often are the activities held?
1-to-1 sessions run weekly. Dates for other workshops and events go out in our monthly newsletter and on Instagram.
Is STEMulate Academy replacing your workshops?
No. Our in-person workshops carry on as always. STEMulate Academy is an extra, so children can keep learning between sessions.
